Custom Load Cells & Force Sensors For Syringe Pumps
Company who manufactures syringe pumps for laboratory testing and medical use. A syringe pump is a small infusion pump used to gradually administer fluid to a patient or for use in chemical and biomedical research.
The Challenge
In need of a custom force sensor to fit into a unique mounting. The application is driven by a stepper motor and the sensor is needed to measure the reaction force from the contracting of a syringe plunger. The force sensor will also monitor and detect any blockage or occlusion in the tube.

A standard S215 load cell was modified to fit the special mounting requirements. The S215 load cell is an extremely low profile single point sensor used to accurately measure a full scale of forces.
